With an even more vibrant sports day happening this Tuesday 13 th July at Kingsmeadow we are delighted to announce the school bests for the U20 ladies events. School records are set in formal competition e.g. sports day, county champs inter school matches. The bests have been set in informal competition over the year. Unfortunately the circumstances dictate that no adult spectators are invited this year though a film of the event technology willing should be up for viewing in the fullness of time . John Barnes once sang “ You can be slow or fast but you must get to the line ” and in the case of this performance it was definitely fast! Congratulations to Y10 student Connor Foley who won the 800 metres sprint at the Schools County Athletics meet. Connor won the race with a time of 2:07.1, a fantastic time which will come close to the current 800 metre sports day record of 1:59.5 if he can repeat this effort at sports day!
