Where might it lead you?

Common music graduate destinations in- clude law, finance, government, consul- tancy, media, publishing and IT. For those who wish to pursue a career in music, Music A Level is also the perfect course. Music graduates become not only per- formers and composers but also present- ers, producers, recording engineers, arts managers and administrators. Just under half of last year’s A Level Mu- sic students continued their study of mu- sic at university. The others went on to study PPE, English Literature, Geography and History and one secured a highly competitive degree apprenticeship.

The best reason to study Music is that you enjoy and have a talent for the subject, leading you to work hard and achieve an excellent re- sult. Recognised as a rigor- ous, academic course, in- volving analysis, application of formulae, and essay writ- ing, it will prepare you to study a wide range of degree

subjects, including sciences, humanities, languages and arts. Those who go on to study music at university follow a wide variety of careers, not limited to music.
